I made this recipe a few weeks ago and wanted to share. I love finding new recipes that are simple, in the crock pot and NOT CHICKEN. I’m a busy mom of three and sometimes the last thing I want to do at the end of the day is cook a meal. I have embraced the crockpot. Embrace the crockpot! Seriously moms; love the crockpot. You can cook more than just roast (which was my own personal misconception). And here is a good recipe to star you off.

Pepper Steak

Frozen bag of sliced peppers (you can of course use fresh)
1 package Steak (I used sirloin)
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, with liquid
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
garlic powder to taste
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cube beef bouillon
1/4 cup hot water
1 tablespoon cornstarch

Rub garlic powder on steak and brown on stove top. When cooked, dump in slow cooker. Mix bouillon cube with hot water until dissolved, then mix in cornstarch until dissolved. Pour into the slow cooker with meat. Stir in onion, green peppers, stewed tomatoes, soy sauce, sugar, and salt. Cover, and cook on High for 3 to 4 hours, or on Low for 6 to 8 hours. And boom your done!

It was so good and most of the ingredients you probably already have as staples (at least I do).
